2022-2023 ENROLLMENT PROCESS

We are a TK - 5th Grade Elementary School.  For the 2022-2023 school year children must turn 5 years old by September 1, 2022 to be enrolled in our Kindergarten program or must turn 5 years old between September 2, 2022 and February 2, 2022 to be enrolled in our Transitional Kindergarten program.

RESIDENT ENROLLMENT PROCESS

There are three ways to Enroll at Palms:

1) Complete an ONLINE APPLICATION.  The office staff will follow up after auto-generated email is received.

2) Download Enrollment Documents (see column to right).  Complete forms at home and either scan and email documents or call to make an appointment to come to Palms to deliver in person. 

3) Come to Palms during office hours to pick up a traditional Enrollment Packet.  Make an appointment to return forms.  Complete forms at home and return at your scheduled appointment.

To make the enrollment process as smooth for our families as possible we ask that you please bring all enrollment documents (see below) to your appointment.

SAS Applicants:  Those selected and accepted families will follow the same enrollment process as Residents.  Those families on our Wait List will be contacted as space comes available.  Please accept or decline as directed so that we can facilitate enrollment or move to next on our Wait List.

Non-Residents:  Our Waiting List for Permit requests is available NOW. Please call and ask to be added to our Waiting List.  We will contact you when space is available.  Please be prepared to follow the Non-Resident Enrollment Process listed below: 

Non-Resident Enrollment Process

All interested families who do not live in our residential area will follow the process listed below:

1. WAITLIST:  Add your child’s name, grade, your name, and your contact information to our Waitlist.
2. REVIEW:  We will review our current enrollment and capacity
3. CONTACT:  If there is a space for your child we will contact you to see if you are still interested in enrolling at Palms Elementary & SAS
4. PERMIT:  If you are still interested we will provide you with a signed permit.  You will complete the permit and will need to get your home school to sign that they are releasing your child. Intra-District (LAUSD to LAUSD) and Inter-District (Outside of LAUSD) permits are available using blue link buttons to the right.
5. ENROLLMENT:  When the completed and signed permit is returned to Palms Elementary & SAS we will begin the enrollment process listed above for Residents.

♦  Utility Bill (electric, gas, water) or official government mail verifying your address.

♦  Driver’s License or ID card

♦  Completed Health Card

♦  Immunization Record

♦  A report card/transcript from your current school

♦  G.A.T.E., IEP and/or 504 Plan if applicable
