Robotics

Palms Robotics is an after-school program that teaches students robotics, coding, and teamwork to inspire the next generation of engineers and creative problem-solvers. Students can take robotics class starting in third grade and earn a spot on the competitive team as fourth and fifth graders. During four-week class sessions, small groups work together to build a robot, learn to drive, and score the most points, while completing a mission.

Robotics Team

Palms Robotics team members build a robot, then test and improve on their designs to accomplish a goal. Some team members learn to drive with precision, while others learn to write code for the robot so it can score points autonomously. It all comes together at Fairfax High School where they compete against other elementary and middle schools from around LAUSD Region West. Come out and support Palms Robotics on March 9, 2024 at the Southern CA state championships!
