School Hours

Arrival

Gates open and supervision by school staff begins at 7:40 AM. Families are encouraged to use our safety valet on Vinton Avenue to increase student safety and provide more fluid movement of traffic. Staff/volunteers direct drivers through a queue of traffic cones and assist students to safely exit the car. This eliminates the need for parents to exit their vehicles and for students to cross streets.

Students should arrive on campus between 7:40 AM and 8:00 AM. Children may not arrive earlier and wait unsupervised on the sidewalk or schoolyard. They should line up in their designated locations when arriving. At 8:05 AM, students will be taken to the cafeteria or served breakfast in their classroom.

Recess and Lunch Schedules

Rainy Day Schedule

On rainy days, students should report to the auditorium in the morning rather than line up on the yard. The school lunch schedule is adjusted so that all classrooms have time to eat their lunch indoors in the cafeteria.

Dismissal

Adults are requested to pick up their children promptly upon dismissal. TK-2nd grade students are dismissed at the front of the school (Motor Avenue). 3rd-5th grade students are dismissed at the back of the school (Vinton Avenue). If adults do not arrive during the pick-up period, their children are be taken to the office (TK/K) or wait on the yard (1st-5th) near the lunch pavilion. Students who ride the school bus load and unload on Vinton Avenue.
